Jenny Larson
Jenny Larson has over 20 years of experience in education. In May she earned her Master’s degree from the University of British Columbia. In Austin, TX she earned her Bachelor’s at St. Edwards University.
She served as the Culture & Arts Education Specialist at the City of Austin?s Brush Square Museums, creating curriculum for 4th and 7th grade classrooms. Jenny taught creative writing at the Dougherty Art Center (students age 7-12) and at Zach Scott Theatre Center (students age 14-17). She has experience in early childhood education, teaching students age 3-7 at the Elsass Academy, and working with 18-month to 3-year olds at Little Dudes Learning Center. Jenny is a mother, and home schooled her daughter grades 6, 7, and 8. Jenny has taught at UBC, Southwestern University, and Sofia University in Sofia, Bulgaria.
Inspired by educator John Holt, Jenny believes that when a student loves learning, anything is possible. She believes that her job is to cultivate that love.
Fun facts: Jenny is an animal lover, theatre artist, and yoga instructor who loves teaching kids poses!
